Telegram accounts and proxies for promotion: a practical setup

Published October 8, 2026 · 5 min read · By Nordlume

TL;DR

  • Accounts and proxies are the foundation of any Telegram promotion setup. Cheap shortcuts here cost the most later.
  • Buy accounts carefully, check every one before use, and secure it as soon as it is yours.
  • Use static SOCKS5 proxies, not rotating gateways, with roughly one proxy per several accounts: a handful, not dozens.

Nordlume is an independent agency that plans and runs Telegram campaigns on ATREOX AI. We are not ATREOX, and links to the ATREOX site are there because they explain the platform best.

Why the setup matters

Neurocommenting and every other form of Telegram promotion runs on accounts. If those accounts are weak, badly proxied or still accessible to whoever sold them, no amount of careful pacing will save the campaign. This guide covers the practical side: where accounts come from, how to check them, which proxies to use and how to protect what you bought.

A note on who is writing: Nordlume is an independent agency that runs Telegram campaigns on ATREOX AI. We are not ATREOX, and we do not sell accounts or proxies. Where ATREOX has a tool or a guide for a step, we link to it.

Buying Telegram accounts carefully

Most teams start with bought accounts rather than registering every one themselves. That is workable, but the market is uneven: some sellers deliver aged, clean accounts, others resell accounts that are already limited or still in use somewhere else. We do not recommend specific sellers. Instead, judge every batch by the same rules:

  • Start with a small test batch before you buy in volume.
  • Ask how the accounts were registered and how old they are, and check that what arrives matches the answer.
  • Prefer formats that give you full control of the account, including the ability to set your own two-step verification password.
  • Walk away from sellers who cannot explain where accounts come from, or who promise they can never be limited.

ATREOX has a longer write-up on what to look for when buying Telegram accounts, which is worth reading before the first order.

Check every account before use

Never put an account to work straight out of the box. Check that it logs in, that it is not already restricted, and that its profile is in order. A limited account wastes its warm-up and drags down the rest of the batch.

The free ATREOX account checker shows the state of a Telegram account before it goes to work, and it is open to everyone, not only ATREOX customers. Keep a simple log per account: where it came from, when it was checked, which proxy it uses and when it started warming up.

Proxies: static SOCKS5 vs rotating gateways

Every account should connect through a proxy, so your accounts do not all appear from the same IP address. The type of proxy matters more than most people expect.

Static SOCKS5 proxies

A static proxy keeps the same IP address over time. Combined with SOCKS5, which Telegram supports natively, it gives each account a stable home. To Telegram, the account looks like a person who goes online from roughly the same place every day. This is what we use and recommend.

Rotating gateways

Rotating proxies hand out a new IP address on every connection or every few minutes. They are useful for scraping websites and a poor fit for Telegram accounts: a session that keeps jumping between addresses and locations looks like an account being passed around, which is exactly the pattern you want to avoid.

How many accounts per proxy

A dedicated proxy for every account is the cleanest option, but rarely necessary. In practice, roughly one proxy per several accounts works well: a handful of accounts sharing one stable IP, not dozens. Keep each account on the same proxy for its whole life, and match the proxy’s country to the account’s where you can.

Before you assign proxies, run them through the ATREOX proxy checker to confirm they are alive, and see ATREOX’s notes on proxies for Telegram accounts for more detail.

Protecting bought accounts

When you buy an account, someone else had access to it before you. Close that door as soon as the account is yours:

  • Set your own two-step verification password, with a recovery address you control.
  • Review active sessions and end the ones that are not yours. Telegram may not let a brand-new session end older ones straight away, so plan for a short wait.
  • Store session data securely, and never pass it around in chats or shared spreadsheets.
  • Change the profile gradually, as part of warm-up, rather than all at once on day one.

On ATREOX, the Account Manager includes Account Protection; the ATREOX account protection guide explains how it works.

Then warm up, then work

A checked, proxied and secured account is ready to warm up, not to comment. Give it time to behave like a normal user and raise its activity slowly. ATREOX describes the process in its guide to active warm-up, and our neurocommenting safety guide covers pacing, quiet hours and limits once accounts start commenting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my personal Telegram account for promotion?

We advise against it. Promotion carries a risk of limits, and you do not want that risk on the account you use every day. Use dedicated accounts for campaigns.

Are free proxies good enough?

No. Free and public proxies are shared, slow and often already flagged. Use paid static SOCKS5 proxies and check them before use.

Why not use rotating residential proxies?

Rotating gateways change the IP address constantly. For a Telegram account that looks like the session is moving between people and places, which raises the risk of limits. A static proxy gives each account a stable home.

Does Nordlume sell accounts or proxies?

No. Nordlume is an independent agency that plans and runs Telegram campaigns on ATREOX AI. We help clients set up accounts and proxies properly, but we do not sell them.
